Sleep No More

Even by New York standards, Punchdrunk theater company's Sleep No More is huge. After a successful run in an abandoned Boston school, the company has now taken over three six-story warehouses—100,000 square feet and 93 rooms, set up to mimic a high street, a ballroom, a graveyard, and more—in West Chelsea for its immersive Macbeth. Audience members are issued masks and allowed to roam freely, rifle through drawers, and poke through closets as cast members enact scenes through poetry and dance. It's part haunted house, part Hitchcock movie, and entirely unlike any other theater in town.
